1. Stanley Adventure Camp Stainless Steel

Stanley Adventure Camp Stainless Steel

The dry sack can float on water after being rolled and buckled. It's perfect for kayaking, paddling, sailing, canoeing, surfing or having fun on the beach. A nice holiday gift. There areDEAL outdoor accessories. The Stanley cook kit is a great gift for anyone who likes to cook outside. TheTILE HANDLE: The locking handle folds over the lid to save space and it was designed to provide maximum comfort and stability while it's on the stove. There are two types of durable and BPA-free. The entire kit is made with no harmful materials and features two insulated portable 10oz/ 295mL cups to enjoy hot and cold beverages. The design is light. The mess kit with cups is only 7oz and it is travel and backpack friendly. The marks on the kettle went up to 20oz.

Brand: Stanley

👤The Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set is a staple in the camping/backpacking world and is overlooked by the ultra lighters out there. I believe that you have two safe choices of metal in camping cookware: titanium orstainless steel. There is a chance that there is a link between Alzheimer's and the use of anodized aluminum. It is inexpensive but heavy. Titanium is light and expensive. The Stanley is great for me, as I don't mind the weight. I put my stove, fuel, cleaning towel, and eating utensil in the plastic cups that come with it, instead of tossing them in the trash. I use a GSI cup with the Stanley. The lid for the Stanley is perfect for the GSI Cup. The attention to detail on the Stanley is amazing, considering pots that are more expensive don't usually have the perks that the Stanley does. The plastic flip-up finger handle stays up perfectly on its own. The lid has drain holes. There are not marked on the inside of the measurement. The marks are stamped so you can still see them from the inside. No big deal. When the handle is locked into its folded position, it acts as a firm/reliable closing. The Stanley is a great product at a great price. I would recommend it to anyone.

👤The little cook pot is a happy find for me. I like that it's not aluminum. The graduations stamped on the side are very useful. I don't keep the two plastic cups in the pot as they take up a lot of room that I choose to use for other things. When the handle is closed, it provides a positive holding mechanism for the lid. The pot is folded into a cup. I put the paper coffee filters between the pot and cup to cut down on rattling. The paper filters can be used as a pre-filter for a water purification kit.

👤You need a way to boil water and cook food if you like hiking and backpacking. The Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set is for camping. This is one of the best cook sets out there. It is made of 18/8 steel which won't rust on you and is easy to clean with a scrub pad or sand from a creek or lake shore. There are holes in the lid that allow you to easily drain water if you need to. All for about $13,000. The value is great.

👤I use a fuel canister with this for my cook system. The stove is inside the mugs. I backpack in the Midwest and the West, and haven't found anything I don't like. Stores are easy to clean. I've cooked next to people with systems that cost 10x as much and we'll eat at the same time, and will share the trail again in the morning, and this is definitely not worth 10x less than what they paid! I don't remember weight off hand, but it's an extremely good value for a recreational outdoorsman. It's a good, low-risk kit. I've used it for car camping for oatmeal and coffee. The picture is from open fire cooking. The picture is from a 5-star destination. Take care!

2. Gear Aid 80672 Carabiner Reflective

Gear Aid 80672 Carabiner Reflective

The shelf life of ice cream is two years. It's great for outdoor recreation adventures. Use this heavy-duty, 100% nylon 550 paracord as a clothesline, secure tents and tarps, or untangle its 7 strands to use it as a fishing line, fire starter, thread, or floss. This 4mm utility cord is ideal for camping, backpacking, emergencies and survival and is recommended for hanging a bear bag. This cordage has a carabiner for easy attachment of water bottles. It could be a survival bracelet, paracord dog collar, knife lanyard, or handle wrap. Choose from camo, orange, and reflective black and orange.

Brand: Gear Aid

👤I was in the woods with a knife and paracord, trying to get naked and afraid. Thats all I had. I opened my paracord to make a fishing line, but found no strands in the middle of the toilet paper. If I'm in for a pound, I'll go parachuting to find out if this holds 550lb. I'm out of the coma one month later. This is only a look far away. If you rely on this for survival, you will die or be seriously injured. The sheath is wrapped in toilet paper. Not good toilet paper. A single ply. So disappointed.

👤As long as you don't plan on cutting it, it's a good paracord. It's not ideal for a long hike because it frays and the cord wrapping twists a lot. I did the job, but not my favorite paracord.

👤I like the light-reflective paracord for tent line supports, which are very visible when you return to your camp at night. I used it to wrap a couple items, including an alder walking stick I finished last month. It claims to meet the spec. It seems to be flatter than the other non-reflective paracord I used. The flatter profile of this paracord works well as a grip on this walking stick, but I prefer the beefier paracord when protecting against over strikes on axes. This product is best used for tent lines and wrapping projects. The ends do form nicely.

👤Is the paracord visible in the black/white pictures? It was used about 24'. This is why it was needed. I bought the Burley Nomad trailer in 2003 I passed on replacing the fabric floor because of the cost. I used the trailer until the wheels fail off in 2021. I needed quick release for both wheels but support parts for my trailer ended in 2008. I knew I had to protect the floor. I checked the cost of a new floor on this trailer and it was three times more expensive than this mat. I needed a safe way to connect them because they don't make a mat in one piece. I was going to attach the mats with various things, including paracord, wire ties, longer screws, and scrap metal.

👤The way it is wound is the only complaint I have. If you try to unwrap the outer part of it, you will have a big tangle on your hands. There is a If you know this in advance, you can eliminate some headaches.

👤The price difference isn't much, but I trust this brand a lot. I've gotten top quality cordage every time I've purchased it. This is as good as it gets and paracord can only be so good. I would like to see more variety in the color choices.

👤The carabiner is not for climbing. I like how it allows you to lock the lever in place. The cord is not thick but it is sturdy and versatile. The price is a good one for the amount of cord, and the seller shipped it right away. Great experience. Overall, I am very pleased.

3. Floating Waterproof Kayaking Backpacking Snowboarding

Floating Waterproof Kayaking Backpacking Snowboarding

It is made from ripstop tarpaulin with a sturdy welded seam which is designed for years usage, tear, rip and puncture proof. It's perfect for almost any extreme adventure. Solid roll-top closure system provides a waterproof seal. If the bag is not fully submerged, keep your gear dry. It protects your valuables from water, snow, mud and sand. It is very easy to operate and clean, just put your gear in a bag, grab top woven tape and roll down tightly, then plug the buckle to complete the seal. Dry sack is easy to clean. To meet your demands on different occasions, there are multiple sizes. 5L, 10L, 20L, 30L, 40L have one shoulder strap for carrying a backpack. The dry sack can float on water after being rolled and buckled. It's perfect for kayaking, paddling, sailing, canoeing, surfing or having fun on the beach. A nice holiday gift.

Brand: Marchway

👤This is a great product. I work as a commercial seaplane pilot in the Bahamas and wanted to upgrade my bag to something waterproof, high visibility, and easy to carry. The 10L Hi-Vis Orange bag and the 20L Hi-Vis Yellow bag were the two bags I bought. The 10L bag requires 3-4 folds before you open the top to be waterproof. The bags are not as tall as you would think, just looking at them in the package. I haven't tried to measure the size of the bag when it is closed to see if it is 10L, but I assume the space is reduced when closed, especially if you put in too many folds before closing it. I can easily recommend the 10L for 3-4 medium sized handheld items, which I will specify now. I had an aviation headset bag, a pilot's logbook, a passport booklet, sunscreen, and an iPad mini. It was snug, but I was able to get 3 rolls and close the bag. I wanted a little more room so that I could bring more items, but initially it was okay. My days are spent in the sun. If I have to cut an anchor line, I use the 10L bag as an extra buoy. The bags are air tight when closed and will hold any residual air once closed. All I have to do is blow a little air in the bag, roll it, and put it in a flotation device. The 10L bag is great if you don't have a lot of stuff to carry, but I would caution you to go with the larger option if you aren't sure about the size of the bag. The 10L bag functions the same as the 20L bag, but supplies twice the space. I have enough room for all of the items mentioned. The 20L comes with 2 straps instead of one, so I can wear it as a backpack when walking around the islands. There isn't much difference between the bags beyond that. The bags are easy to use and versatile, and the color options are great, especially if you use the bag for a long time. If you want a waterproof bag, you need to plan your space utilization carefully, because folding the bag over eliminates some space. The bag is designed to be submerged for a few seconds. It is waterproof when floating. If you force it underwater for too long, the pressure of the water may force some liquid into the bag. It works if you take it from someone who is out on the ocean all day.

👤I used the 20L for kayaking a week after I bought it. The size works well. There was still room for a towel, water bottle, wallet, keys, shirt, shorts, and other items. It's a good size for a day trip and comfortable to wear.

👤I got a dry bag so that I could take my things with me when I go kayaking. It is the right size. I can add things like a towel and snack because it's a little roomy. The bags seem heavy-duty, and they work by placing your stuff in them, rolling the top down a few times, and then using the clips to snap it closed. It isn't waterproof forever if it is completely submerged. It keeps things dry in the rain and splashes from kayaking, and if it goes into the water, you have a few minutes to pick it up again. When you close it, don't put all the air out. I leave a lot of air in the bag because it floats a lot better with some air in it. It will float if you don't blow the air out, but it will bob better with some air inside. I double-bag my electronic gear because I am paranoid. I put my cell phone and camera in plastic bags before putting them in a dry bag as a bit of extra insurance. If you keep a towel in the bag, you can dry off your hands if you take things out of the dry bag. I like that the strap can be adjusted so I can carry it across my body and over my shoulder. The strap makes it easy to attach the bag to the kayak to make sure it doesn't spill out in rough weather. I bought two of the dry bags and they are worth the cost because they do a good job of protecting electronics, clothing, and/or food in wet situations. It's great to protect your stuff when you go to the beach.

4. Kamado Joe KJ23RHC Classic Charcoal

Kamado Joe KJ23RHC Classic Charcoal

The heat resistance up to 450 degree F (230 C) assures that food will be cooked well by the steam circulation spread evenly. Premium 18. The Kamado Joe Classic II gives the perfect cooking size of 18 inches along with its Premium cart that comes with the purchase of your grill, including locking casters and wheels. The Divide & Conquer Flexible Cooking System transforms the grill grate into the most powerful cooking tool in your arsenal. You can cook different foods at different temperatures with the revolutionary multi-level, half-moon design. The Kontrol Tower Top Vent maintains a consistent air setting. The patent pending dual-adjustment top vent is made of powder coated cast aluminum and is rain resistant. The air lift hinge reduces dome weight. The grill dome can be lifted with a single finger. The patent pending six-piece design of the firebox eliminates breakage and increases grill efficiency.

Brand: Kamado Joe

👤I own a big green egg large. I bought this item from my dad. I would recommend this unit over the Egg if you are comparing it to the Egg. Everything you need to start is included. The Egg is a great grill, almost unchanged in 20 years, and is practicing the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" principle. They have owned the market for a while. The incentive for competitors to innovate is created by this. The Kamado Joe Classic II is a great representation of that principle. The lid assist mechanism makes open the grill a two finger job, and the lid "stays" wherever you let it go, not slamming down unless it's fully articulated like the egg. The side tables are great, the ash tray is great, and the aluminum rain/vent cap gives you the confidence that this grill will last. The divide and conquer grill system is great, but you can use it on the Egg since it shares the same dimensions as the BGE large. If I were buying a grill for the first time, it would be the Kamado Joe. The Egg has dominated the market for a long time and has made people want to grill it. I can't find a place with the Egg that is better than this one. The dimensions are the same, but the Red is deeper and has a better appeal than green. If you get this grill, you will not regret it. It's packed in a crate with everything styrofoamed and covered, it's also full assembled. Well done from beginning to end.

👤We love grilling. The ceramic inserts had some edges that were not smooth. I expect the damaged parts to be replaced. I sent Kamado Joe pictures of the damaged parts the same day we received the grill. We have been ignored for weeks. I can't recommend this brand. Prospective buyers should go with the green competitor. The performance of the green egg seems to be the same as the price. They might have an edge if they don't ignore their customers. Thanks for nothing Kamado Joe!

👤I used to use my Big Green Egg a few times a week. It was a medium size and I needed to be larger. I was very impressed by the Kamado Joe I saw at the store. They made improvements and took everything that was great about the BGE. The fitting are better. The interior system has been upgraded. The hinge is better. The nest is stronger. Stuff like that. The key is that they didn't screw up what is great about the Egg. I ended up buying from Amazon because I had it delivered to my home and the free assembly Amazon offered was work forgoing $200 in savings from buying from Costco. You can't go wrong with a big green egg. I think you can do better with the Kamado Joe. There is no reason to upgrade if you are happy with your Egg. If you need a replacement, I highly recommend the Joe. 2 seasons later... I'm happy with the man. No rust, no problems, unlike my Big Green Egg. Highly recommend.

Brand: Peak Refuel

👤This was taken on a backpacking trip. One of the only egg products that does not contain milk is this one. Finding a breakfast that doesn't use milk is a big deal for a person who likes to hike. It is a backpackers best friend and it is easy to prepare.

👤My favorite breakfast is backpacking. I shared this with my hiking partner on a trip to high mountain lakes in Oregon. More than enough for both of us. It was almost impossible to finish it.

👤It was filling. It was a new company and I was a little worried about it. It blew my mind. It tasted great and smelt great. The company's ingredients were all clean and healthy. Next time I'm in the mountains, I'll try some of their other meals.

👤The taste of this is great. We added some salt. It isn't going to be as good as a meal you cook in the kitchen. The potatoes, onions and peppers were rehydrated. The meat could have used more water. Next time, I would probably add a few more ounces of water. They were large and definitely two servings. I have no issues with my gut. I think the key to avoiding gut problems with freeze dried food is drinking more water. I ordered more after liking this enough. Hong knows that it takes a full 10 minutes to rehydrate. If you are camping in the cold, you need to wrap the package up to keep the heat on for 10 minutes.

👤I have changed my review to 5 stars. Most of the goodies had settled to the bottom of the bag. I was blown away when I reconstituted the rest of the package. If you're a fan of Mountain House Breakfast Skillet, I think you'll like this. A very delicious meal to eat at home. I'm buying more.

👤I'm going to ignore the criticisms of consistency and appearance for freeze-dried food. Its backpacking food. It isn't supposed to be great. There is a This has not been this bad before. There have been more entrants into the world of freezeidried food thanks to the preppers. Most of these are not. Some of them are pretty good. Peak Refuel is not. The flavor was gross and heavy, like your average freeze-dried flavor. I kept some freeze-dried peppers on hand for this sort of emergency, so I tried to save the food by adding some. Didn't help much. You have a gut-bomb after a good meal. You just want to sprawl out and bask in the sun while your body copes with everything. It was like that, but without the flavor, satisfaction or afterglow. I felt like a road-raged hedgehog for the next two days. The portion size was large for what it is, so I can't say anything else.

👤I am a fan of a Pacific Northwest competitor. I only ordered one of this product to try before my upcoming 10 day hike and regret that decision as this hike is one of the most challenging I've ever tried and I can't get more before I leave. This particular meal is very good. It will be one of my go to breakfast meals in the future because of its huge serving size and great flavors. I wish I had ordered more meals in time for my hike. I expected to get more at my local distributor but they only had dinners and not much else. I bought 3 dinners because of my breakfast experience.

6. Mountain House Backpacking Camping 2 Servings

Mountain House Backpacking Camping 2 Servings

Water treatment tablets are ideal to keep with camping gear. A delicious meal! A spicy chili sauce with beef, macaroni noodles, onion, and beans. It is possible to freeze-dried to lock in freshness. There was no need for refrigeration. No artificial flavors or colors are used. Two total serving is contained in the pouch. It's great for one backpacker or a camping buddy. Add hot water to the pouch and eat in less than 10 minutes. The pouch has a bowl-like shape that makes it easier to eat. Don't eat from the dishes! The pouch is lightweight and portable, so you can eat wherever you go. You can eat in your tent. It's great for emergency food storage. TerraCycle uses recycled used packaging to reduce waste. SHELF STABLE is the longest proven shelf life in the industry. A 30-year taste guarantee. It's great for emergency food storage.

Brand: Mountain House

👤The meal is freeze dried. It was good. We will never be able to make this again. We are still in our tent almost two weeks after camping. This won't make you smell like chili. It will give you a serious eye watering smell for almost 3 days. I think it stained my shirring walls with the smell of poop and many other things. It was still coming out smelling like mac and cheese. We had to take our bedding to the laundry mat to wash it before we brought it home. The smell is still there. I can still smell it. I don't know what makes this chile mac different from any other I've had, but something happens in the process to produce the worst stench your body could never have imagined. If you really hate the person you're staying with, skip the ashblast and pick something else. The food is really good.

👤Mountain house just came out with new packaging and they are giving 20% less food per pouch. I would have preferred the price to go up rather than the amount of food. It still tastes good.

👤I didn't think this is a bigger package than I'm used to. I have previously ordered 2.5 Servings, but this is "2 Servings" instead.

👤The Mountain House Chili-Mac exceeded our expectations. I chose the Chili-Mac because I wanted to try some of this food before buying it. I assumed all Emergency Food would be flavoured mush. This isn't the case here. The Chili-Mac had a good flavor and had a little bit of spice to it. I thought the noodles and beans would be soft. Both looked and tasted like they had just been cooked. The helpful observation comes in when you see that the dish has MEAT. We ate the boiling water. We did not stir/simmer long enough to let the water get absorbed into the meat to "un-freeze dry" it. This dish is outstanding because it is a little longer simmering. A+ for Mountain House.

👤It is important to know how many calories this product can contain in order to survive.

👤I bought this to see what it tasted like and decide if I should buy more or not. I was surprised that it tasted good. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it exceeded my expectations. It did not taste like something that could be kept for a long time. It tasted like a meal I could make myself. It was so good that I want to eat more often. I wanted to try it to see if I wanted more. People buy this kind of thing for camping and hiking. It is good to eat at any time. It didn't need any more seasoning. I ordered a bucket of food. I will keep the bucket sealed until the S does something, and then I will order more for other uses, like camping or just whenever I feel like a quick easy meal. The package had a date that I was impressed with. I think it said 25 year shelf life, but mine was almost 30 years.

7. Ready Supply Foods Survival Emergency

Ready Supply Foods Survival Emergency

It is easy to install, because the lid is opened by rotating and there are grooves on the surface to make it easy to open or close by hand. You don't need to add ingredients, just add hot water and you are good to go. Natural ingredients make great food and are the reason for the biggest bucks on the market. It won't stand up to their competitors. You can store gout and go gouts at home or in your vehicle for emergency situations, or individual packages can be taken along on hiking, backpacking, and camping to add delicious, savory meals to your trip. Their life is 20% longer than their competitors. They use bags that are UV resistant to keep their food fresh. 140 calories in a 25.2 pound bucket. Don't be fooled by the amount of vegetables and rice. Their variety bucket has a wide range of meals from breakfast to dinner. The 2000 Calorie Diet was used.

Brand: Ready Supply Foods

👤It's a good value, I ordered it three times. The first two were in a bucket. The black bucket that was advertised as 25.2 lbs on the company's website is now 24 lbs. The company hasn't returned two emails for an explanation. If Amazon has reduced the bucket size, they need to change their product description and image. The advertising needs to be corrected.

👤With ongoing inflation, ports in California are grinding to a halt and rail cars are being raided. Let's face facts. The shelves are empty. It's time to think long term. I mean years, not weeks or months. There is a If you have a family, you owe them food on the table. This does it. This is emergency food. I didn't go to the store to buy dinner. If you have the means to carefully control cholesterol, diabetes and other health risks, you shouldn't eat emergency food. This stuff has a lot of salt. The more you eat, the more thirsty you are. There is a You have to control your water reserves. You're going to be in a bad place quickly. If you are forced to eat this stuff for more than a month, you should have an exercise plan in place. You will gain weight, have elevated levels and other inherent risks, which is against the survival scenario.

👤The bucket is bigger than I expected and the product came fast. I have tried several of the meals and have liked them all. The pasta Alfredo is my favorite so far. I like that it is made in the USA. I have to add water. I plan to use this for emergency preparation, camping and just a quick meal when I need it. The pack date was on the bottom so it was freshly made.

👤Here's what's in the bucket. It's impossible to read the description. The 5 star rating is random and the review is only to help you make a decision. Thanks. What is in the bucket? 1-Multi-Grain cereals 1-Oatmeal with Brown Sugar 1-Old Fashioned Pancake Mix

8. Mountain House Biscuits Backpacking Servings

Mountain House Biscuits Backpacking Servings

Choose from camo, orange, and reflective black and orange. A delicious breakfast! It's a family favorite to have a breakfast around the campfire or on the couch with hot biscuits and gravy. It is possible to freeze-dried to lock in freshness. There was no need for refrigeration. No artificial flavors or colors are used. Two total serving.

👤They changed the recipe. When we go camping and RV in, my wife and I have tried these before. The recipe is different this year, it's not as good as it used to be, the chunks are larger and they don't soak as well as they used to, and the other half of the bread is not as good as it used to be. I tried to crush the bread. That hurts the bag. I wish they would put the reviews back to their original recipe. It's a disappointment if you buy them now.

👤I have to admit. I was hesitant to try it. I was wrong to think that this meal wouldn't be a disaster. This would be a difficult recipe to get right. It's not the most appetizing meal to look at right out of the bag, but that being said, the flavor and texture were surprisingly good. There was a little texture to the bread after rehydration, a nice surprise. The sauce was a little sticky, but maybe I needed more water. Sausage gravy made under normal conditions has a gluey texture, which is not new. The sauce had a mild sausage flavor. I added more pepper to my pepper garden. There were small pieces of sausage. The sausage was a little soft, but maybe a little more water or time would have helped it. The middle of the rehydration time is where the stir is needed to get a good result. There was still a lot of dry stuff that wouldn't have rehydrated well if I hadn't stirred it again halfway through. It was a nice addition to my emergency food storage and backpacking supplies. Would buy again.

👤I decided to try these, I received them yesterday and they were good, so I fixed one this morning, and now I want to order more. $30 each, what will they be next week? I think I will be looking for a different type of meal. Or learning how to freeze myself. If you can get them for $7 or $8 each, they are very easy to make and serve. I travel alone and always look for good meals that are inexpensive. I could go to Bob Evans and get even better biscuits and gravy, made fresh, and still leave cheaper, because the price went up in 4 days.

👤I received 4 pouches today. The main flavor was pepper. It was very bland. I looked at it before I swallowed it. Returned 3 remaining pouches to Amazon for a refund.

👤It's good to have a lot of food. This is the best biscuit the company makes. You will buy more if you try it once. I have a closet full of these packs. Natural disasters that knock out power, Civil unrest, and war are great for camping. Purchase some and build a nest egg. It's better to have and not need.

👤You have to remember that this is food. It's camping, hiking, backpacking, survival food. I am giving it a three star rating and here are the reasons why. The flavor is ok but not great unless you are really hungry and then it would be great. The biscuit chunks are very hard to eat even after waiting 15 minutes for the hot water to do its job. The sausage bites were made from rubber balls with salt. They were very soft. The mountain house biscuits and gravy are my final opinions. If you are in a survival mode the meal is great for sustenance. If you want a fast breakfast at home. I would stay away from it and only eat oatmeal or eggs and toast. These are meant for survival and the outdoors are not meant for every day consumption.

9. Mountain House Vanilla Sandwich Backpacking

Mountain House Vanilla Sandwich Backpacking

SHELF STABLE is the longest proven shelf life in the industry. A 30-year taste guarantee. It's great for emergency food storage. A delicious dessert or snack! There is a chocolate cookie sandwich. There is no need for interment. Ice cream is freeze-dried to keep it fresh. It won't stick to your fingers, and it won't make a mess on your shirt. No mess with ice cream. Ready to eat. The ice cream sandwich is ready to be eaten out of the bag. There was no need for preparation. TerraCycle uses recycled used packaging to reduce waste. The shelf life of ice cream is two years. It's great for outdoor recreation adventures.

Brand: Mountain House

👤These are a great option to satisfy a sweet tooth when regular ones are unavailable. The ice cream sandwich is a little smaller than a generic ice cream sandwich. The texture of the ice cream is that of marshmallows. The outer cookie part is average. The ice cream sandwich has the same taste. The price is high but the shelf life is extensive. I'm satisfied and I'll keep buying when they are on sale. The item needs to be shipped in a box. I ordered one to try out and it was crushed when I received it because it was in one of the plastic bags.

👤I would never buy a meal from this place again because it was so bad and I threw up after eating 2 bites.

👤I have not had these things in a long time. I still love them. It was cracked and crumbled up a little in each individual package, but theses are great fun to give to family members and kids as gifts, and they taste like a sweet air waiter. If you have a sweet tooth and don't have to worry about them melting or going bad forever, this is the best deal for the money on Amazon. Excellent stuff. It was worth a try. I only say 4/5 stars because of the fact that there are a couple that were broken up and falling apart in comparison to the ones that were mostly intact. Good stuff.

👤I bought 3 and 2. It was ok. It's great to show kids what astronauts eat. It is exactly what it says it is. The 3rd one we couldn't eat because the wrapper was open. This product is still recommended by me as issues like this happen from time to time.

👤I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in the bars. You get barely a hint of what you would think they should be, even though the options are labeled asflavored. They were almost always broken when they arrived. It's hard to eat.

👤This product is only good for less than two years, which is not long for a long shelf life. I can't comment on the actual flavor because I haven't tried it yet. I was not happy with shelf life. I will lower the rating if the taste is bad.

👤I only like these ice cream bars when I'm in a kid's museum and there's a gift shop. If it's your first time, this would be a good treat, and I thought it would be a good treat after a long day of backpacking. It seems like these things are best used for nostalgia. It tastes decent and is interesting to have a dessert like this in the woods. If you're not concerned about that kind of thing, a chocolate bar with some marshmallows would be a better option.

👤From one package to the next, it has the same taste and texture. We use them in our emergency kits, in bug out bags, and in the cars. I like that it doesn't make a mess to eat. As you break them into pieces or bite them, they get a bit flaky. Not messy.

10. Potable Aqua Water Purification Treatment

Potable Aqua Water Purification Treatment

The design is light. The mess kit with cups is only 7oz and it is travel and backpack friendly. The marks on the kettle went up to 20oz. There are two bottles of Potable Aqua Water Purification Tablets. Water treatment tablets are used for water purification. Potable Aqua emergency water purification tablets are effective against Giardia lamblia. Even in emergency water purification situations, water purification tablets can be used. Water treatment tablets are ideal to keep with camping gear.

Brand: Potable Aqua

👤The product was made in 2011. I received the same bottle every time. Don't waste time.

👤I was surprised to receive two bottles filled with tablets. It was not in the cardboard sealed packaging that was advertised. Please tell me what to do?

👤The item was delivered in a paper envelope, without a factory seal on the bottles. It's super vague.

👤I was shocked when I looked at the instructions on the bottle that they were not in line with what the seller said. The bottle says you should use 2 tablets per quart of water, but the sellers say 1 tablet per quart. I am short on supplies and this is half the value advertised. I paid full price for half of what I was promised, but not as much as I need. This is not acceptable. I submitted a false product information report a week or two ago, but it has since been corrected. The instructions on the bottle state 2 tablets are needed, even though the image states "1 tablet 888-349-8884 The image seems to have been removed. I'm also concerned about the dates that are past. The bottles come loose in a brown packing bag and there is no identifying information on them. I'm trying to contact the manufacturer to see if this number can be used to find the date of manufacture and the expiration date. The website of Portable Aqua states that the pills never expire. They like magic and are good for it. It's amazing! Every expert review states that the tablets will not last more than 4 years. I have already had false advertising and I find it hard to believe that these pills are different. If I have any success in contacting the company, I will update here again.

👤The package that is shown has 2 of these not in it. The bottles had a white dust on them as if they had been sitting for a long time. They don't show an expiration date because they weren't in the original packaging. Disappointed.

👤They came loose in an envelope, not in the manufacturer's packaging. They are over a year old, there is no seal on the cap, and who knows when they were packaged or if they have been tampered with.

👤I think I should give these 5 stars. I used them to drink tap water in Argentina and didn't get sick, so they did work. The water was turned into a dirty brown color.

👤They were sent to some friends in Puerto Rico to have safe drinking water. I wish they didn't need it, but they do and it's effective because they can drink water.

11. GOOD GO Dehydrated Backpacking Lightweight

GOOD GO Dehydrated Backpacking Lightweight

10 ounces is the weight. The dimensions are 7.5 x 7.5 x 2.75. You can enjoy a delicious meal in minutes if you add water. Emergency food supply for storm, Hurricane, wildfire, natural disaster, survival, backpacking, and camping. It's similar to freeze dried food but tastes better. GLUTEN free vegan, made from real food. Good To-Go meals are made in Kittery, Maine.

Brand: Good To-go

👤I have tried all of the vegan flavors, the food is pretty tasty, and the ingredients are all natural, which is something that some people might have a problem with. The 3 meals per day add up to less than 1300 calories. This isn't enough for a small woman and an average size man. The breakfast has 27 grams of sugar, including 11 g of added sugar. Adding sugar to a brand that is supposed to be healthful is pointless.

👤I wanted some emergency provisions in case I had to go to the grocery. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Bibimap. I keep a few packs when I go camping on my motorcycle. Good product. It tastes great. Made by a responsible company.

👤Excellent product, very tasty and good amount in each package. These are very filling and the best part is that they are low in sodium. It's hard to find dehydrated food that's not all salt, but these have great flavor and low salt, win!

👤It's easier to keep around than a bunch of canned food. The box is smaller than I thought. I bought a meal to try. Maybe the other meals are better. I won't care if there's a disaster and I have food.

👤The oatmeal is very satisfying as a start to the day and we have not tried every flavor. It's convenient to pour hot water in the bag and eat from it. Similar products are in line with portion sized based on total calories. This is a good resource for vegan campers who want to have stable food in case of emergency because there are not many vegan options in this market.

👤High quality products for backpacking. I love how vegan their products are, it makes finding quality backpacking food a lot easier.

👤I like high-quality food. I wasn't expecting much from the meal in the pouch. I was very happy to be wrong. These meals are very good, compared to other backpacking meals currently on the market. They are easy to prepare, the ingredients are recognizable, and the taste is great. The emergency box has a solid discount compared to buying individual packages on Amazon or at REI. The meals are made in a facility that hands fish and are also vegetarian. Would recommend not to touch it.

👤Good to go meals are something I enjoy. I've bought them many times the past couple of years. I wish their boxes were more varied. The benefit of buying bulk is that you will eat the same thing for 4-5 days. You have to buy them individually if you want to mix it up. I have many food sensitivities and the last place you want to have a bad experience is in the wilderness.
