Brand: Magic Mill

👤I bought this product on March 1st. I was using it for a while. The front cover started to crack in the first week after 3-4 days a week. I tried to call customer support, but couldn't. I was looking for a replacement cover. I tried to call the manufacture, but they didn't help me. The machine does a good job of dehydrating food, but the cover is falling apart and I can't replace it without replacing the entire appliance.

👤I have to write a negative review. This is the worst dehydrator on the planet. You can't change your temp settings. If you bought a dehydrator because you want to eat raw, there are only 3 preset temp settings you can choose from, none of which is the ideal temp to dehydrate for raw food. The timer only works for 30 minutes and it can only run for 20 hours at a time, so it's not really helpful. It's great if you're into food poisoning but for myself, I try to avoid things that could cause me to go to the hospital. I would like to give this zero stars.

👤This is a high end product with a low price. The temperature range is perfect. The racks are easy to clean. Every time my dog hears it, she gets excited. She likes dehydrated sweet potatoes, bananas, apples, and green beans. The product is easy to use on the kitchen counter. The glass and steel door looks very nice. I researched products from low cost to high cost and found this one. Save yourself some time and trust me on this one.

👤The unit has the wire trays I wanted, but without plastic. Prepare by soaking wire trays in hot soapy water for 15 minutes and rinsing them with hot water. The dryer's interior was sponged with warm water. At the maximum temperature, it should be run for 1hr. There was no smell of plastic during the run. The unit was used in a single run to dehydrate 8.0 lbs of soupy meat in order to make just under 4 lbs of soupy jerky. The total drying surface area is about 6.5 square feet. 1.33 lbs of rolled soupy meat is 888-282-0465 The meat can be positioned close to the edge of the tray, but not close to the walls or tray runners, as each tray was slid into the drying unit. I set up the dehydrator in my basement shop in order to avoid annoying family members that don't like the smell of drying soupy. I am very satisfied with my shop and the smell is great once the dryer is turned off. The Magic Mill Pro dehydrator has nice wire trays.

👤I was really excited to get this dehydrator, but it's sitting on my kitchen counter and I'm not really excited. I was going to dehydrate produce and semi-liquids. The unit is not suited for either. I was willing to purchase more trays. It has been almost impossible. We paid extra to get the unit with shelves that were made of steel. There is a design flaw. Although the shelves are made of steel, they do not allow large items to be dehydrated without being in direct contact with plastic, and the square holes in the trays are large and smaller items would fall through as they shrink in the dehydrating process. The plastic mesh sheets you could use for smaller items are not the best way to choose a dehydrator. Why didn't they make the mesh small enough to dehydrate food? There is a design flaw. The shelves do not have enough edge to keep round items from rolling off. If you put the plastic mesh over the shelf, it will be even more true. I was willing to buy more fruit roll up trays, but they are almost impossible to buy. Poor customer service. It is difficult to get in touch with the seller or manufacturer to purchase additional trays. I've tried by email and phone but haven't been able to reach a person. Each time I selected "sales", the phone system hung up on me. If it was after hours in their time zone, the least they could have done was to allow me to leave a message. If it is difficult to buy something, how much harder will it be if a repair is needed? I'm going to return it because I didn't like it as much as I wanted. If the holes are too big and the plastic is needed, what is the point of having a shelf made of steel? If you can't get the seller or manufacturer to sell the trays, what is the point of buying them? If you only want to dry meat or produce, this might be a good dehydrator. If you were expecting to be able to use the shelves for smaller items, this is probably not the dehydrator for you. Good luck trying to buy more trays from the seller or manufacturer.

👤I throw a lot of parties and BBQ for everyone. I bought one of these to keep my poppers warm for everyone to pick them up. It worked well. After everyone got their share off the grill, I put this warmer in so my friends could help themselves during the night. The food was kept warm and ready to eat all night long, and the meat was not dry. The food tastes the same five hours later as it did when it was on the grill. I bought a second one because I liked it so much that I'm going to throw a party with hot foods. My friends have a place to keep their food warm now that they have a place to keep their food warm. I was really happy with the two I bought. There were no problems at all. The main unit has water in it. Put the food in the metal container when you set the temp. That's all. It is easy to clean. The water can be thrown in the washer. Highly recommended. I am happy I have two. I might buy a third.

👤I bought two for myself and one for my daughter. It keeps the temperature of the food stable and moist. Time with your company is enjoyable. I don't have to worry about food getting spoiled, or drying up and burning under the heat. You can interchange the pans in the unit to fit one full size pan or two half pans, besides having the three 1/3 size pans that it comes with. It is easy to clean up.

👤My family is always entertaining and I bought this for them. It was a hit. Food was hot during the night. Lots of complients were taken.

👤I wish it used less power.

👤The food warmer is for use at the concession stand. It is easier to clean than our old one and it does a great job of keeping the food.

👤I usually buy cheaper ones in every category, but this is a notch higher. Pans and lids are included. If you take the cost of the pans into account, you can get a better unit for the same price.

👤It lasted about 3 months and then stopped working. The replacement lasted 2 months and I stopped working after that. I will not purchase this item again.

👤The detailing of this food warmer was really amazing. The temp controller is easy to use and the max water line is clearly marked. Next time, they would try their full size bain marie.

👤The food warmer allows time to cook and cut the meats on a busy day of cooking for a large family gathering. I was able to lift and tip water into the sink quicker than the tap option. I would say it's ideal for soups and curry. I can see a lot of use and borrow as well.

👤We used this in our food truck for pulled pork and other items. It works well. I will critique the tap, but would definitely recommend it. It has a very slow flow and is 10 times quicker to tip the water out. The extra for the tap isn't worth it.

3. Hamilton Beach 70730 Processor Vegetable

Hamilton Beach 70730 Processor Vegetable

In Japan, the popular snack is "Daissho", a snack that is easy to digest. They are perfect for afternoon snacks, coffee breaks, office and family gatherings, and can be easily shared with family, friends and colleagues. Bowl scraper attachment. The sides of the bowl have a special attachment that is used to keep ingredients close to the blades for more even results and to save you time when chopping or pureeing. The generous 10 cup bowl can hold a lot of food and not have to stop to empty it. A large feed chute can fit a whole block of cheese for quick processing and less prep time. A food processor can be used with a vegetable chopper and with a s-blade chops. The food processor's low and high speeds plus pulse give you the control you need for a variety of recipes. S-Blade for chopping was included.

Brand: Hamilton Beach

👤The reviews and videos of the food processor were great when I was researching, but when I used it as I wanted, it did not retain any splash, I am not sure if I got that. My other two units that I used for years did not have a seal and did not have the leak spilling problem.

👤My food processor was too small for some of my recipes. The reviews seemed to agree with the bill. It was a major disappointment. When it is used full it will overflow through the middle area. The on/off switch won't turn after 1 year. My 30 year old Black and Decker had to be pulled out of the middle of a recipe.

👤The plastic pieces broke after several years when I tried to replace a Cuisinart. I thought I would save money, and after reading the reviews on Hamilton Beach, I thought it was worth a try. I was wrong. This is the worst food processor I have ever used. Yes, it has two speeds, Fast and Super Human, but they don't work when you are trying to grade cheese. Everything will be butchered and not the way I wanted it, because it came with only one blade. I replaced a good quality product with a piece of garbage in order to make my wife mad. Don't purchase this item if you love your wife. Even though Amazon usually has a 60 day return policy, the return button is missing, so it's even worse.

👤Our previous processor was less than 3 cup. This one is very similar to the Dark Ages. It has done everything well so far. It was used to make the dough of 2 pumpkin pies. Do not Over Process - keep your finger on the pulse button, that's what I have learned. The pies turned out perfect with the correct amount of processing time. The pulse and selection are too fast. The caveat in processing time would have been better if the availability of a slower speed for making dough was available. There is a slight problem with the slicer. It slices fairly well, but it slices in different ways towards the last part of the item. It's not that great for presentation purposes. I thought I'd point that out. A good value for a good processor. Will report back if there are any problems. So far, so good.

👤Even though it says it is a 10 cup bowl, you can't fill it over the level of the blades without it leaking. The lid has no seal so any liquid that reaches it will come out. I called Hamilton Beach and they said that even though this isn't specified on the box or advertizing, it is in the booklet that comes with it. The bowl scraper that I thought would be a useful feature only comes to the top of the blades, so if you can only fill it to there, it is useless. They wouldn't do an exchange or a refund, and recommended I buy another product. That won't be happening.

Brand: Magic Mill

👤I bought the MagicMill Pro XL in hopes that it would be the best for food dehydration. It was large and expensive. The unit quit after 2 weeks. The fan wouldn't work, it wouldn't heat, and it wouldn't turn on. Amazon sent out a replacement right away. It was a hassle to return the large unit. I thought we did well. The replacement didn't work after 4 weeks. The fan and timer are not running. The manufacturer didn't reply to the email I sent them. Amazon is allowing me to return for a refund. I apologize for wasting my time and money on this item.

👤Ok. My 1 star rating on temperature control is based on the placement of the thermostat and the purpose of the machine. Don't miss my review. This is the best machine for drying beaf and poultry after modifications. It will be whisper quiet when it reaches 175. The customer service is second to none. The machine didn't reach the advertised temp and the engineer and service rep handled my issue. They sent me a new machine when they couldn't fix the problem. If you can do the repairs, they will mail parts. I am only looking at the machine I modified. The product is backed by the company. Customer service is second to none. If you are doing beef and poultry, you should use this machine. Attach the thermostat to the back of the machine. A simple fix. 10 out of 5 stars. Don't modify anything if you're drying. It is perfect. The machine needs an upgrade. If you are a jerk, you have to modify. It is simple. Look inside and drill the rivet. Mount in plastic back and done. I love this machine.

👤I am giving this product a one star review for one reason. It looks like it will do an excellent job, I have not used it at all. I'm upset with the false advertising. The first page of the instruction manual clearly states that the dehydrator is not suitable for commercial use and that it is only for domestic use. I have taken a picture.

👤A number of reviewers stated that the unit is good looking, heavy, and has a nice control panel. The heating element died after two uses. I contacted the company and asked if they could send a new element. They sent a new unit and didn't want the old one to come back. The new one died after a little more than a year of use. When operational, they work well. I would not recommend buying this dehydrator. Another example of corner-cutting manufacture in the interest of making more money. This product would be a winner if there was a heavy duty heating element in the box. The seller contacted me after I wrote the review, telling me that they wanted me to be happy and stand behind their product. They sent me a third one, which seems to work well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the third time is the charm. My original 1-star review has been added 2 stars.

5. Cuisinart DLC 2ABC Processor Brushed Chrome

Cuisinart DLC 2ABC Processor Brushed Chrome

Food processor, bowl, and blade were included. It's a super function. The miniprep plus food processor has a patented blade that can be used for both chopping and grinding. Control. The control panel is made of lightweight plastic and has an auto-reversing SmartPower blade. It is easy to clean up a motor base with a damp sponge or cloth. The work bowl with handle, spatula, and blade are included. Refer to the user manual for questions surrounding warranty policies and the limited 18-month warranty. The bowl has a handle. It's not a good idea to grind beans with this.

Brand: Cuisinart

👤After reading reviews from cooking websites, I bought this to replace our old processor. I think it deserves the great reviews that led me to purchase it. It has a nice base weight. It is easy to remove the blade from the lid. Our old food processor had a problem with the food in the bottom not being processed. If you leave your finger on the button too long, you may end up with a purée that you don't want, but since I learned my lesson, it's worked out perfectly for me. The picture does not do it justice. It is easy to wipe down.

👤My Mini Prep went up in smoke after 40 days. This was the third time I had turned it on. There is a I had to pay shipping and handling for the faulty unit to be shipped to them. The garbage can was where mine went into. There was rust on the blades.

👤This is the second one I bought. The base was warped in the first and second instances. The lid wouldn't close in either case. The customer service is the worst. I was held for a long time and did not know how to close the lid. The agent hung up when I tried to explain the issue.

👤I bought this to make salad dressings as it has a cup on the top that can be used to pour oil into. The lid on my kitchen sink does not seal. A seal may be missing. Whatever the reason, it is junk. This is the second product that I've purchased and I'm disappointed with both. The other was a food processor that was able to shred a few batches of Zuchinni. Never again!

👤The blade on my processor may come loose and cause an injury if it is cracked along the edge of the spindle. I called Customer Service at Cuisinart and they didn't seem to care about that. They will not replace it unless I can prove that it was purchased within the warranty period. The cost for a new blade alone is fifteen dollars, which is half the cost of buying an entire new unit. I think they are more concerned with the long-term quality of their products. I'm wary of buying any product from Cuisinart in the future.

👤The Cuisiant I've owned is the same model. My children gave the first one. The plastic base became faulty after 10 years. I put it in the dishwasher. I hand washed the one I ordered from Amazon. It's not dishwasher friendly. The first time I used it, the liquid leaked from the lid. I didn't use it for a while. I pulled it out of the cabinet and it was a mess. It's a perfect size for one person. Cuisiant lowered their quality because they were disappointed. I have not used it in a while, so it's doubtful that the vendor will honor a replacement. I will let you know if they do.

👤Don't buy it. I wanted something small that I could use. I've used it three times, all of which were for liquid stuff. It makes a very loud noise, and I'm smoking a lot as soon as it's turned on. The bottom of the bowl is pushed to the corners because the blades are not well- positioned. I contacted customer support after smoking and INRDeals I've only used it three times, so I'm giving it two stars. Maybe there is something that this machine is good at that I can accomplish before it catches fire. It is easy to clean, if that is more important to you than chopping. I regret choosing this one over the Ninja Pro.

6. Magic Mill Dehydrator Trays Temperature

Magic Mill Dehydrator Trays Temperature

The ETL listed at 350W of power is perfect for home use. Don't use outdoors. The parts are dishwasher safe. There is a rear mount fan for heat distribution. The electric dehydration machine has a rear-mounted drying fan and air flow circulation technology to promote even drying, there is no need to rotate the shelves as needed by other brands, and the transparent door window makes it easy to monitor the dryer process. Digital temperature and timer. An automatic shut off will be done when the timer shows you when it will be done, and the temperature and timer are adjusted to ensure you have your food done to the perfect temperature and timing. The trays are made of STAINLESS STEEL and include fruit roll ups, mesh trays for smaller food, and fruit leather sheets for roll ups. It is easy to clean the dishwasher safe trays and liners, which can be used to dry beef, vegetables, fruit, bread, and more. If the dehydrators overheated, the safety feature will be activated. It was built with food-grade material.

Brand: Magic Mill

👤I have had a food dryer for 30 years and it dried vegetables. My family gave me the Magic Mill for my birthday. Since taking it from the box, it has been in almost constant use. After drying meat or sticky fruits, the SS rack pops in the dishwasher. We love dried Fuji apples and make yam slices as dog treats. When the store has limp produce, I have jars of dried veggies for soups. We are able to make our own jerky with clean ingredients. Quality high energy foods are a must for my husband as he does wild land fire fighting in the summer. There are a few more recipe ideas in the owners manual. I plan on taking this tool with me in our RV when we travel for remote jobs, as it is easy to use in an RV. There is a The unit is light enough that an older female can easily move it.

👤The old cheap dehydrator was quieter than the Magic Mill. It is in the kitchen and looks nice. I chose this brand because I am trying to eliminate plastic from my life and this Magic Mill had steel shelves. Magic Mill does not identify the type of plastic used, so the plastic sheet assessors that come with it do not please me. I don't care if you say 'food safe'. I will probably buy some pure silicone trays in the future. The digital feature that allows me to set the tempurature is a welcome improvement over my old one and the fan in the back really creates great air flow. It is easy to wipe down when it is large. If you found this review helpful, please press the button to say thank you.

👤The price was not bad. The product works. The only problem I have is the plastic. The metal trays will fall if not positioned correctly. The sides bow out.

👤I have a nice container garden and this year, I even grew and Harvested Yukon Potatoes. I got 10 pounds of potatoes and I decided to freeze them and then cook them in casseroles for one person. My old dehydrator only does small batches and takes 20 hours to complete. I bought this one on Amazon after doing my research. I finished the potato harvest in 8 hours. It's fabulous! Some of the tomato harvest will be going in tomorrow. My bell peppers are arriving. My Sage is also bursting at the seams. I can't wait to run this baby a lot.

👤I have been using this model at my daughter's home and I now own one. I hope that Magic Mill will design a larger capacity that is all metal, except for the door, when I upgrade. I like that the unit has 9 wire shelves, 2 fruit roll up trays, a mesh tray for items like bananas and strawberries, and a hanger rack for items that should be hung to dry. The shelves are easy to clean with warm water and liquid soap. The control panel is easy to use. The panel is bright red. After washing the shelves and doing a test run to remove any manufacturing odor, we partially filled the unit with the first batches of apples, bananas and pineapples. The fruit was sliced thin, 3 centimeters/less than the thickness of a dime. The option of dehydrating the fruit from soft leathery to crisp is also available. The fruit was delicious. I lightly dusted the apples with cinnamon before dehydrating. After drying, the spice sticks well. I haven't had a dehydrator in a while. I dehydrated many items and the process and seasonings came back. I'm looking forward to using it a lot.

7. Dehydrator Stainless Adjustable Temperature Control

Dehydrator Stainless Adjustable Temperature Control

It is easy to clean. The units are dishwasher safe and easy to clean, and the trays are made of steel. The front door is made of food-grade STAINLESS STEEL and is convenient for you to track the progress of drying. The drying space is large and the trays are large enough to lock the minerals and vitamins in the food. Automatic shutdown function and overheats protection function are used for safety. The hot-air convection that evenly heats all the trays is generated by the integrated air-circulating fan. Digital temperatures preset settings range from 68 to194oF, with a timer up to 24 hours, provide accurate drying times and temperatures. Wait for the food to be dehydrated after setting the time and temperature. The horizontal airflow system operates stably, ensuring more uniform drying and silent operation.

Brand: Colzer

👤I wouldn't consider this dehydrator a large capacity. The trays are 9 inches in length. I like that the trays are not black. The machine vibrates. The sides are hot to the touch, even though they are dehydrating at a very low temperature. It takes a lot longer to dehydrate than my other dehydrator. Not impressed. I will be dropping my rating from a 2 to a 1 after being harassed for months to change it. I don't know how to stop the emails from being sent, only to receive another email from a different person. This is not safe.

👤I have been making beef jerky since August of 2011. During that time, I have eaten fruit, herbs, and beef. The Nesco's plastic trays were starting to fall apart, and I was interested in the Excalibur dehydrator, but its high price made me not want to buy it. Although an internal meat temperature of 165F is considered safe for poultry, alternatives were less than desirable because their maximum heating temperature is usually up to only about 158F. The Excalibur has square trays that are a bit more capacity than the Nesco's round ones, but they don't dry as evenly. The Colzer appliance has a maximum temperature of 194F, but its square trays are not immune to the drying effect. I found that the drying is better than the dehydrator I used to have, which was mostly plastic. I'm not sure if an all-metal housing is making a difference, but it appears to be. Clear glass allows you to check on the items' status without opening the door, and Square trays provide more room for items to be dehydrated. It may not be a good idea to go that high. There is a built-in timer that goes up to about 24 hours and a generous 8-tray capacity. There is no way to change the temperature of the product, the control panel has a built-in guide that shows Fahrenheith-Celsius conversions, if it did not have this, I would have returned the product. The price-to-value ratio for this product is very good and I will be looking for an 8.4" x 8.4" tray instead of using a heavy-duty aluminum foil as a liner. It dehydrated my fruit and herb very well, and beef jerky came out pretty well, even though the pieces facing the glass door were not as dry as the ones at the back. The trays can be moved half way through the drying. We haven't experienced food poisoning yet, but the manual states to pre- cook or boil the meat to 165F internal temperature and then dehydrate it to make sure no germs are left. I keep my food in the fridge for a month. Although the dehydrator can go up to 194F, a higher temperature may not be good for food. The high heat will cause the exterior to get warm but leave the inside dry and potentially cause germs to grow. The Colzer temperature guide states up to 155F, but I stick to my recommendation of 165F. You will learn a lot. You can experiment with various recipes on the internet after that. A meat slicer can be used to cut cooking time and to keep meat at a consistent depth. Some butchers will cut to size for you. Fats are more likely to spoil than meats. If you want to last as long as possible, trim out as much fat as you can and get as lean of meat as you can find. I keep my fat in the fridge because I like having it in my jerky, but I have eaten it before on a wilderness backpacking trip, without any issues. It is the final. THOUGHTS I am happy to have found a dehydrator that works well without having to spend a lot of money. I will retire my 9-year-old Nesco FD-80 if it continues to operate reliably, and I will also give it to a friend so she won't ask me to make her jerky as often. I don't think changing this Colzer to Fahrenheit would be a big deal.

Brand: Innomoon

👤The tool is great for quickly julienning vegetables like carrots or jicama. It was easy to clean because cheese got stuck in the crevices. The tool held up well and felt a little thin. A good tool, fun to use, and very useful.

👤Good quality, easy to install, easy to clean. It is easy to shred. It's ideal for last minute salads. The entire bowl of veggies takes about 10 minutes to prepare. Must have for the owner of the kitchen aid.

👤The item is great, it fits on a KitchenAid mixer, and it works perfectly. It works better than the KitchenAid branded processor I used before it broke, and I use it mostly for shredding cheese. I will not be upset if it doesn't work, since it was about 1/3 of the price of a KitchenAid accessory. It's been a great purchase so far. It is a bit smaller than my 888-739-5110

👤Great thing! It makes cooking much easier.

👤I was cutting potatoes by hand because my manual hand unit was too difficult to use. I didn't realize I had the option to use this attachment set on my barely used 6 yo KA mixer. The ease with which the attach attachment and function is is unbelievable. I have used the shredders and slicer and it is easy to assemble and disassemble. I've shredded potatoes and cheese. I saw the genuine KA attachment for a couple of dollars more, but I can't imagine how it would work from these. I am lazy about assembling and disassemble, but this is so easy that I don't have to. My mixer is large and heavy, but I leave it on the counter because I use the attachments everyday. How did I not know these things existed? If you have the KA mixer, buy with confidence.

👤I use fresh cheese. I have wanted a device that would grate cheese quickly and at a reasonable price point for a long time. This is it! I have only used the coarse one so far. It makes grating hard cheese quick. The cheese is emptied out of the front by the mixer. The attachment parts have very little sticks.

👤I bought this one for my KitchenAid mixer. It is made from good material. There are two shredders and one slicer in the package. The design makes it easy to clean. It saves a lot of time.

👤Don't buy it. It's a waste of money. I tried to slice a cucumber. Guess what? The cucumber's skin is strong enough for a blade. The best part of this product is safe, because I touched the blade with my fingers. The blade is not sharp. Change to 2 star. The return process requires an extra star. There is a I was able to return the product and get a full refund. I don't know if my experience is related to the product I got or the cucumber I got from the grocery store. If you get the same experience as me, you can return it.

9. Ivation Stainless Electric Dehydrator Vegetables

👤A great dehydrator. The extra money is worth it. The dehydrator died at 362 days old, so I changed my review to one star. It was connected to a surge protector and not interfered with the fan. It died. The sellar didn't reply to my emails. It died August 9th and was not shipped until August 12th. I need the dehydrator the most this time of year because I am harvesting a lot of peppers and herbs. The warranty was honored by the manufacturer. The seller is silent.

👤I spent 3 hours researching and finding the perfect dehydrator. Ivation, large capacity, easy to program, simple to clean, well made and very durable. The attention of jerky lovers. It is beyond safe when dehydrating meats and 10 racks will dry a lot of jerky because of the high temperature. You decide where the temp/time is set. There is a tray on the bottom. I can dry a lot of food items with this unit. I used cheap sheets of silicone to cover the rack and pour fruit purees to make fruit leather. The unit is sturdy and large. The glass window gives me a peek inside. It's perfect for someone who really uses a dehydrator. This is a workhorse. It was very easy to clean. If you don't want a small low power plastic unit, I highly recommend this, I have used it a lot. The machine has 1000w. Ivation is the dream machine, so stop fretting over which unit to buy. There is no reason to get a recipe book as recipes are all over the internet. You tube is amazing.

👤Don't buy this junk! I have lost $50 worth of food. It was used for drying my favorite fruits, but it got broken and no more running motor for dehydration process! My wooden floor was ruined with stains and fruit inside. It was too late for me to discover this after a few hours. I tried to go through the return process, but it was no longer eligible. It has been used to dry my own fruits. I have used it once before and it has been about a month or so since. The return was closed. I threatened to leave Amazon if they didn't give me a credit after I contacted them. My God! I had to go to the bathroom. Don't buy this period! I am very upset. I ordered another one that had a fan on the back. We will see what happens now that it is coming. If Amazon cares about their customers, they shouldn't carry this junk.

👤This is the dehydrator for making jerky. This seems to be well built and easy to use. I put 8 lbs of venison jerky in it to try it and only filled 9 of the 10 trays. 10 pounds could be close to the limit. I put a temp probe in the center to make sure the unit won't display internal temp. After 3.5 hours my dehydrator was up to 160 and I was almost done with it. If you're trying to find a dehydrator, get this one. The magic mill, cosori, chefwave, and Samson all seem to be the same unit.

10. KitchenAid KGM Metal Grain Attachment

KitchenAid KGM Metal Grain Attachment

The model includes a pan guard, a blender arm, and a Blending Jar with Lid. Low-Moisture Grains are Grinds. From Coarse to Fine.

Brand: Kitchenaid

👤I wanted a Kitchen Aid grain mill for a long time and I wanted to love it. I used it with my kitchen aid mixer. It was too much work for my pro to use this mill with a Kitchen Aid mixer. After reading all the instructions, I set about getting the red fife wheat berries grounded. It was very slow but it turned out to be a beautiful flour. The instructions state that the mixer should cool for 45 minutes between batches if you grind more than 10 cups of berries. She had to knead dough too because it took over three hours to ground six cups. The all metal mill became hot to touch as my mixers motor became hot to touch. Pot holders were used to detach the mill. After just two cups of grinding, I shut the mixer down and cooled it down for 45 minutes. I wanted to make six loaves of bread. If you want a constant supply of freshly baked bread, you need five loaves of dough. I bought six cups of flour from the store. The mill is beautifully built, solid all metal, and opens the box and makes your heart pound with joy and anticipation, but it's not good. I think it is too much work for the motor. I'm afraid to use it again. I love my mixer so much that I threaten it's lifespan for six cups of flour. The grain mill overheated while I was making the tanzhong bread rue, and I had to make it myself. The motor was burning. I was shocked because the instructions said to grind no more than 10 cups. I touched my mixer and the mill hot. I took the grain mill apart and put it in the oven. I thought it must be a problem with my mixer. Nothing. The pro series mixer does not work well with milling grain because it is hard on the motor. After grinding two cup batches of red fife wheat berries, I cooled my mixer down for 45 minutes. I ground six cups of flour. It took seven hours to make the bread dough. The bread was made yesterday by the mixer. It was a lot of work for the 600 watt professional series. The grain mill threatened to kill my motor yesterday, but I have more mixer than I need in my kitchen. If you don't have a pro series mixer, you should not even consider this attachment. Kitchen Aid should make that point very clear. It would be better to grind flour one day and make whatever you want the next. But sit on top of the mixer and grind in two cup batches. The Kitchen Aid pasta attachment, pasta roller, meat grinder, shredder/slicer attachment are all great. I am going back to the grain mill with a heavy heart. I wanted the mill to work.

👤This mill is perfect for the person who wants to make a couple pounds of flour a week and already owns a kitchen aid. artisan? I'm so excited. I was using King Arthur flour before this, and after baking bread from hard red winter wheat? Completely blows away the store-bought stuff. I was surprised how good it was. There is more to the bread than just its appearance. I can't go back after using up what I have. I will probably never buy flour again. How well does the mill work? It's pretty good for the price if you already have a real kitchenaid. If you want a fine flour and are using a hard wheat, you should mill it about 2 to 3 times. If you want something coarse for bread, 1 or 2 runs through. You will need to run it through the mill more than once for most flour. Dealbreaker for me? No. Is this important to the average person? No. It's not perfect, but you have to be realistic for about $100. If you want a small commercial mill, you should pay $2-$3k. For a typical baking enthusiast who is going through a few pounds a week? This is adequate. It takes no time at all to run it on a real kitchen aid. The flour was criticized because it kind of drifts about a bit. My solution was to put my bowl on top of something that was sturdy. You need a real KitchenAid for this, I have a Pro Line motor. It's probably okay if you have the Commercial motor. Is it an artisan? Forget it. One of the other powered mills is a good option.

Brand: Cosori

👤I bought this dehydrator because I thought it would be an upgrade from the plastic one I was using before. When trying to use the fan, it would shut off intermittently. The fan stopped working after a few months and now the dehydrator is useless. The manufacturer was directed to me because the Amazon warranty had expired. The new dehydrator is working great.

👤This machine is perfect for me. I read a lot about dehydrators before buying and I'm very happy with the one I bought. It is lightweight and has a timer. It has a clear door so you can see what's going on. The six shelves are large enough for 3 and 1/2 to 4 lbs of meat. It has all the features I wanted, and it has temperature and time controls. I'm very happy with this product. I didn't buy Excalibur because of the noise I read in reviews. This one is so quiet you don't hear it often. It cleans up and doesn't give off strong smells after cleaning. I would recommend this machine to anyone that is looking for a reliable dehydrator.

👤I settled on this one because I looked up and down for the right dehydrator. The looks and ease of use make me happy. It's easy to use, set the temp, and forget about it until it's done. I have made a lot of jerky, both using hamburger and meat, along with banana and apple chips, and they go fast. I put tinfoil on the bottom to catch drips. Saving money on jerky is better than buying it in a store. Don't be disappointed if you get it.

👤I only use my dehydrator to dehydrate my favorite snack, dried strawberries. An older plastic round dehydrator was replaced by this. The new Cosori took less than 3 hours to dry my berries. I like the fact that it is not plastic. I took a class on dehydration. The instructor said that square machines were better to use. It was good to get rid of plastic. The Cosori was selected based on other comments in the reviews of other dehydrators on the market. Some reviewers state that this machine gives out after a few rounds of dehydrating. My old plastic machine was used for many years, so I'm pretty sure this machine will be used for many years as well. The metal trays will not break apart.

👤If you are looking for a machine that is very quiet, then this is the one for you. It is easy to setup and use. It was well packaged. There was no damage. To start... If you want to see it all, you can open the door at any time and see it from the glass door. The temperature and the remaining time are shown on the timer. Nice feature. It looks like a mini oven and is not big and bulky, but I thought it would be stuffed in a closet and not allowed to sit out. It was sleek. Amazingly, has a lot of items. It's a nice addition to use. The cookbook came with it. Very detailed. A section to let you know how long to wait for the drying process to start. A quality product. Don't hesitate to buy. I sent the husband to the store because I didn't want to start dehydrating. I would suggest to buy more liners for smaller items or use the cut to size method. Quality product, fast shipping, easy to use, large capacity, QUIET, nice sleek design, and free items, why wouldn't you keep looking?
